No matter who you have to fight, try to eliminate weak enemies first, and in the end, fight the boss. After a while, the opponents stop coming, fortunately, you will have some time to prepare the trebuchet.

Use a special attack to kill the monsters.
You will see some more interesting cutscenes about the meeting with the Elder and his subordinate dragon (you do not need to pay too much attention to the dialogue options you have chosen). After you see more cutscenes, you will enter a new part of the Ice Mountains. This is a very linear location, which also does not require detailed study. Follow the narrow corridor and, entering a large cavity, attack the monsters. You will soon gain access to a new special attack (the Sign of the Break), and it's a good idea to use it immediately to eliminate the demons without any problems.

Note. The use of special attacks is limited by the focus bar that you charge during combat. Save it for the most demanding fights.

Eventually, you will find your allies.
Now you can leave the cave. Head east. As I mentioned, you don't need to explore this area because there's nothing interesting here.
