Why did you choose Epitech Brussels for your 4th year study exchange?

“I decided to go to Epitech Brussels for my fourth year mainly because of the cybersecurity program. I already had some knowledge and background in cybersecurity, so it was an opportunity for me to put that knowledge into practice and learn about other aspects of cybersecurity, as the program covered different aspects of it. I also chose Brussels because it’s a beautiful city and is very well located in Europe, with the possibility to visit neighboring countries. I also saw that the city had a vibrant student community, and there were opportunities to share accommodation with international students.”

Honestly, I didn’t notice many differences between Nantes and Brussels, except that the city is more international and diverse. I was able to easily connect with my new classmates and we even hung out after class to explore the city together. Overall, it was a great start to my exchange program at Epitech Brussels.”

What did you enjoy the most during your study exchange in Brussels?

“On a professional level, what I really enjoyed at Epitech Brussels was the fact that the courses are all taught by cybersecurity experts from different companies. This means that every project we work on is very close to the real-life industry scenario. The projects cover a wide range of areas in cybersecurity, allowing us to explore different domains and confirm or challenge our career choices. Besides the academic aspect, I also got to experience the Belgian culture, from the famous beer and fries to the iconic landmarks such as the Grand-Place, the Manneken Pis, and the Atomium in Brussels. I even visited other cities in Belgium like Ghent and Liège. Living with other foreign students also allowed me to make new friends from different backgrounds.”

What Did This New Experience Bring You?

“Overall, this new experience at Epitech Brussels has brought me a lot. First of all, it allowed me to expand my knowledge and skills in the field of cybersecurity. Thanks to the diverse and challenging projects we worked on, I gained a deeper understanding of various aspects of cybersecurity and was able to confirm my interest in this field.

In addition, I had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with many talented and like-minded students, which not only enhanced my learning experience but also allowed me to establish valuable professional connections for the future.

Moreover, studying abroad in Brussels allowed me to immerse myself in a new culture and learn about the history and traditions of Belgium. I had the chance to explore the city and its famous landmarks, as well as visit other cities in Belgium and nearby countries.
