Recently, Epitech embarked on an exciting journey to Colombia to participate in the fourth edition of the Destino Francia fair, held on September 28 and 29 at the Lycée Français Louis-Pasteur in Bogotá. This prestigious event, organized by the French Embassy in Colombia and Campus France, brought together educational institutions and aspiring students eager to explore opportunities in France.
Cultivating Connections for a Brighter Future
During our time in Colombia, we focused on promoting our new international programs: Master in IT & One Year IT Discovery program, engaging with students and educational institutions to highlight the enriching experiences that Epitech offers. Our presence at the fair allowed us to forge new connections and strengthen existing partnerships, enhancing collaboration between Epitech and various Colombian universities.
To further this mission, the French Embassy organized Franco-Colombian institutional meetings on September 30 in Bogotá, creating a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
Highlights of the Trip
Our visit included a reception at the residence of the Ambassador of France in Colombia, offering a valuable opportunity to connect with key stakeholders in the educational landscape. We also participated in the Student Fair in Barranquilla on October 1 and 2, during the Cátedra Europa forum hosted by UniNorte, a prestigious university in Colombia. This forum welcomed representatives from various universities, including International Relations leaders and academic researchers, aiming to strengthen institutional collaborations between Colombian and European educational establishments.
The event featured a comprehensive program of workshops and roundtables covering diverse topics, allowing participants to engage in meaningful discussions and share best practices.
Campus Visit and Strengthening Existing Relationships
Additionally, we had the privilege of visiting the National University of Colombia (UNAL), where we met with key personnel, including Mr. Carlos Acuña (Head of the Cooperation Teams), Hugues Mieles (Advisor – Mobility Team), and Paula Bello (Support Professional – Strategic Relations). This visit not only provided us with insights into the university’s programs and facilities but also reinforced our pre-existing ties, paving the way for future collaborations.
Our journey to Colombia was a resounding success, filled with opportunities to connect and collaborate. We are excited about the prospects of welcoming more Colombian students to Epitech and building stronger academic partnerships in the future. Together, we are shaping the future of education and innovation!
