Last weekend, a group of students from EPITECH Barcelona won a major prize at the hackathon organised as part of the Avalanche Summit. This event, held between 25 and 27 March at the Poble Espanyol in Barcelona, was attended by more than 250 participants, who presented a total of 56 projects related to the world of subnetworks, video games, DeFi (decentralised finance, financial services that run on blockchain) and NFTs.
The group of 1st and 2nd year Computer Science students from Epitech – Paul Crinquand, Léon Ducasse, Massimiliano Rovere and Riccardo Bassanelli – won one of the prizes, worth $2,000 and a promise from one of the sponsoring companies, Aventures DAO, to invest in their business idea, called YieldPool NFT.
YieldPool NFT: Optimising investment in NFTs
This product, developed using the Solidity and Rust languages, allows users to invest in a portfolio of NFTs, investing 90% of the total amount in safe securities and leaving the remaining 10% to riskier securities to maximise their return. This allows users to optimise the value of their NFT assets in a more safely and securely manner.
At EPITECH we are very proud of the success of our students.
Warmest congratulations on your achievement and all our best wishes for your next adventure!
