The Epitech Integration Weekend 2022

As tradition dictates, the beginning of the year at Epitech was marked by the integration weekend for our 1st year students. Let’s take a look back at this moment full of conviviality.

At the end of September, following the start of the school year on all the Epitech French campuses, our new 1st year students had the opportunity to meet and share their first moments of conviviality in an informal setting during the traditional integration weekend.

This event – not to be confused with the Ice Breaker, which takes place during the same period – was a great opportunity for the different generations of students of our Grande Ecole Programme, to meet and exchange ideas. It was organised in various ways in our different campuses. Paris, Lille, Rennes, Bordeaux, Lyon… Here is a glimpse of Epitech Technology’s EIW 2022 in pictures!

Flashback in pictures of the EIW 2022

In Epitech Bordeaux, the students headed to the Domaine de Fromengal, a few dozen kilometres from Bergerac, where they spent two days having fun in the heart of the Dordogne campsite.

Various fun activities awaited them on site, including a wind-slide, a foam party, football competitions and, of course, an evening full of cheerful moments to get to know each other better. In the heart of this idyllic setting, the new students from Bordeaux were also able to get to know their peers from the Rennes campus, as this EIW was co-organised by the student associations of both cities.

In Epitech Paris, no less than 220 students and 80 staff members, including the student associations, the teaching staff and 9 student associations, went to a holiday village in the Corrèze region with a breathtaking view of the hilly terrain of the region.

Here, students enjoyed many activities, including an Olympic competition on Saturday afternoon with some great prizes for the winners. Later on, the associations offered various entertainment activities such as board games, karaoke and body painting.

In Epitech Lille, the students first took part in a multi-player VR adventure at DreamAway, a virtual reality space developer. Our newcomers were plunged into an apocalyptic universe and had to survive hordes of zombies by helping each other out. Then a general knowledge quiz was held in an immersive quiz room, before a fun game of laser game and then eating some delicious pizza, to recover from all this effort.

The students from Epitech Lyon went to Crest, south of Valence, in the Drôme. During this outdoor weekend, they enjoyed a swimming pool, board games, a wind-slide and even… an inflatable jousting game.

The students from Epitech Montpellier went to the Aubrac for a two-day trek of over 40km, during which they became familiar (through effort) with the values of solidarity, courage and excellence of Epitech. A weekend away from their mobile phones and messages, allowed them to discuss and bond with their classmates.

“A great student life event”

Unsurprisingly, our students seemed to enjoy this integration weekend at Epitech.

“The activities were all great, we had a blast!”

Yanis Zeghiche – Class of 2027 (Lille)

” The EIW is an essential event for students and represents the beginning of a new school. As a student association representative, we were very happy to organise it because it allowed us to meet a lot of people and to get to know the 1st year students. Everything went well and it was a pleasant experience for everyone, whether they were accompanying students or not, they all gave us good feedback.! “

Clémence Vanpouille – Class of 2025 (Lille) & Lilith student association representative

” We got to know a lot of people, it was really nice. It also gave us a chance to relax before starting the Cpool. “

Matthieu – Class of 2027 (Nancy)

” This EIW allowed everyone to get closer and to create a good spirit of solidarity in the class.”

Julian – Class of 2027 (Nancy)

We were welcomed by a beautiful campsite with a large area and lots of activities (there were even donkeys to pet). We all went from bungalow to bungalow having fun together, it was a really nice weekend to connect. The newcomers  seemed to enjoy a lot this weekend and so did the other students. “
